Building a metaverse
A short preview of my internetworked virtual worlds that create an expansive metaverse hosting a myriad of information on emerging and new technologies and the digital future.
Gradually built throughout 2021, the metaverse combines glb, gltf, fbx, 360 photospheres, Microsoft 3D, Google Poly, Google Tiltbrush, GravitySketch, Frame, Engage, VRLand, Beloola, Spatial, Mozilla XR, Mozilla Hub, Mozilla Spoke, Insta360, LiDAR, Ready Player Me, 3DQR, Altspace and a range of digital and VR/AR/XR elements. The metaverse also has embedded Youtube video via shareable link, NFTs including from OpenSea, books from Amazon Books, and sound from SoundCloud. Additions that have not been included in this presentation now include Decentraland, Upland and Somnium Space.
I have been a Virtual Reality programmer via VRML since 2001 (more than 20 years ago) and have presented conferences and published papers on SecondLife, Minecraft, Pokemon Go and virtual worlds.
The research publication on my virtual worlds metaverse have been awarded best research for the International Conference on Computer Intelligence and Information Systems – Creative Computing 2022.
