TeachBrunei – Pilot
During the 9-week TeachBrunei LMS pilot project which involved 8 secondary schools, guides were disseminated every week.
Nevertheless, the project was abandoned halfway dueto two main reasons, viz.
- The developer team was stretched thin and shorthanded due to architected solo (shaiomarali). The prerequisite of any digital transformation/innovation is always in developing the developers first.
- The 8-week pilot project during October and November 2020 coincided with the opportunity for teachers to resume on-school education after the Covid-19 first wave at-home learning throughou April – August 2020. Thus, the Q4 for 2020 was to accommodate for learning loss and end-of-year exams, which are mmore significant than conducting acceptance testing for the pilot project.
Abandoning the pilot project was to prevent risks of learning loss and extra teacher workload, given the circumstance.
